The GX5732 is a Static Digital Input or Output card with 224 I/O channels. Designed for ATE, data acquisition, or process control systems where a large number of discrete I/O channels are required, the GX5732 offers the highest density in the industry for a single PXI plug-in board. The 224 channels have TTL levels, and the direction of each group of eight channels can be programmed as Input or Output. Four 8-bit, 50-MHz counters can provide counter and timing functions.

Architecture
The GX5732 is a 6U PXI board that provides 224 digital Inputs or Outputs and four counters. The 224 TTL channels are programmable for Input or Output in groups of eight. The GX5732 has no on-board memory and uses the computer's memory and CPU power for data transfer.
Counters
The GX5732 has four 8-bit, bi-directional, 50-MHz counters. Four of the I/O pins can be used as input or output to any of the counters. An additional four outputs can be used as output of any of the counters, or as a Terminal Count (TC) for all counters. Six programmable inputs are provided for counter control: clock, gate, or load. The counters may be daisy chained to create two 16-bit counters or one 32-bit counter.
Software
TThe GX5732 is supplied with a virtual instrument panel, which includes the 32-bit DLL driver libraries and documentation. The virtual panel can be used to interactively adjust and control the instrument from a window that displays the current instrument settings and measurements. In addition, various interface files provide access to the library for programming tools and languages such as ATEasy, Microsoft® and Borland® C/C++, Microsoft Visual Basic®, Borland Delphi, LabVIEW, and more.
